Dr. Elizabeth Kolve has more than 20 years experience in treating trauma, anxiety, panic attacks and phobias, (fear of flying, driving, germs, illness, needles, spiders, public speaking, etc…).
Her educational and clinical background is multifaceted. She has a masters degree in physiology and nine years of medical research experience at UCLA School of Medicine. She has a Doctor of Psychology degree, (magna cum laude), and is a Licensed Marriage, Family and Child Therapist.
"Dr. Kolve provides comprehensive treatment for: Anxiety; Panic Attacks; Phobias; Depression; Acute Stress Symptoms; Work Stress; Post Traumatic Stress Disorder; Addictions, and Couples Therapy.
Dr. Kolve utilizes various therapeutic modalities including but not limited to the use of: Cognitive; Interpersonal neurobiology, Imago therapy; EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), TFT (Thought Field Therapy) and Hypnosis.
In addition to office psychotherapy, Dr. Kolve has integrated into her practice Equine (horse) Assisted Psychotherapy, which is a novel and exciting new field that uses horses as agents of change.
